Due to a heart arrest, Magoha died on Tuesday, January 24, in Nairobi Hospital. He was rescued by Michael Magoha, his wife, and son. Despite failed attempts to revive him at home, he passed away in the hospital after being taken there after falling at home.

Prof. Magoha was well-known for his firm personality and insistence on sticking to his principles while serving as Cabinet Secretary of the Education Ministry, where he oversaw operations. Magoha passed away a little over a month after his younger brother Alex Nyabera Magoha.

Cause of Death for George Magoha

On December 6, 2022, Nyabera passed suddenly in Allen, Texas, in the United States; the reason for his passing remained a mystery. On Saturday, January 28, 2023, the funeral procession was slated to leave the Aga Khan Hospital Funeral Home in Kisumu before he was buried.

Tragically, their second sibling went away in 2021, sending the family into grief. The reason for the death of Charles Agunga Magoha, who passed away on Tuesday, August 31, was also kept secret.

From 2005 to 2015, he held the position of Vice-Chancellor at the University of Nairobi. He taught surgery at the University of Nairobi's College of Health Sciences. He also served as a consultant urologist at Kenyatta National Hospital, the university's teaching hospital.
